Chris Larson

Chris started with Serve Our Youth Network in 2010 as a mentor recruiter/case manager for our Amachi Mentoring program in Newton.  Chris has spent most of her adult life ministering to children and teens in the church setting. While her day job has been as an RN, she and her husband informally mentored many kids by having them into their home, and including them on their family outings. Eventually, they became foster parents and have had the opportunity to minister to many more children, especially teens through that ministry. Since coming to SOY, Chris’s favorite thing is signing up mentors because she knows what a special gift they will be to the high risk youth who need them most. Even better, she appreciates that the mentors share a common faith in Christ.
