From Our Executive Director: Could You Partner With Us?

During this season of giving thanks, celebrating miracles, and believing in hope, we at Serve Our Youth would like to take a moment to honor you for all you have done to help make the efforts of this organization so successful during the last year. We have seen firsthand what your prayers and support have done to help bring about life changing miracles in young people’s lives. In addition, the hope and love of Jesus that has been shown through our mentors and volunteers in various ways and activities is truly a selfless and priceless gift. The time, dedication, and commitment given by you and others to serve the youth in this program is immeasurable . You have truly been a miracle to many youth in need and have helped to bring the gift of hope in all you have done.

This past year has been one of growth and change for us as an organization and we appreciate that you have chosen to partner with us through it. As is often the case with change, this can help an organization to position itself in an even better place to live out its mission and see its vision become reality. SOY has always desired to serve high risk youth by showing God’s love to them through a variety of activities, supports and programs. During the coming year we will find ourselves faced with some financial challenges as we continue to seek out and maintain resources that help us to live out that mission, and be the love of Christ to many high risk youth in various communities who are hurting and are in need.

We recognize that there are many who are going through changes and challenges as well, and we thank you for what you have already done to help support SOY in the past. We are asking, however, that you prayerfully consider partnering with us in our efforts to live out our mission and in so doing, to live out the mission that Christ has charged us all with as believers, namely to go out into the world to seek and save the lost by bringing them the hope of Christ. (Matthew 28:19). You can help us do this through your financial gifts, prayers, or by joining with us to become a volunteer mentor. We believe that God has a future for SOY and we know that you will be blessed as you choose to partner with us in helping to make that future successful and bright for so many who are currently hurting and lost.

I pray that God will pour out His blessing upon you this holiday season as we celebrate the reason we can all have hope for today, tomorrow and the eternity, Jesus Christ.
