Prospective Mentor Training – 11/19/09
We are holding our next mentor training for prospective mentors on Thursday, November 19 at 6:00p-9:00p at Polk County Youth Services (1548 Hull Ave. in Des Moines). Attendees will learn about our mentoring program, requirements for being a mentor, what mentors do, characteristics of children of promise and other high-risk youth, expectations for mentors, how to connect with their mentee, and activities that you can do with your mentee.
